ATO INTRODUCED TURKISH COMPANIES PARTICIPATING IN THE GLOBAL HEALTH EXHIBITION 2025 NATIONAL PARTICIPATION ORGANIZATION TO SAUDI HEALTH SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES AND INVESTORS

28 October 2025 – The Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) brought together company representatives participating under its national participation organization at the Global Health Exhibition 2025 during a gala program with representatives and investors from Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector.

Speaking at the event, ATO Chairman Gürsel Baran emphasized their belief that significant synergy can be created between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia in the field of healthcare, stating, "Türkiye is now a reliable solution partner not only for its region but for the world in healthcare."

Hosted by ATO Chairman Gürsel Baran at a Turkish-owned restaurant, the evening was attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan, Vice President of the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency Furkan Karayaka, as well as Turkish and Saudi business representatives.

In his remarks, Baran stated that the first day of the Global Health Exhibition, to which ATO brought 21 companies from Türkiye under its national participation pavilion, had been successfully completed. He also provided information on the Turkish economy. Highlighting Türkiye's rapidly growing economy, improving investment environment, and strategic location at the crossroads of three continents, Baran said:

"With a national income of 1.358 trillion dollars, Türkiye ranks as the world's 17th largest economy, and 12th according to Purchasing Power Parity. As of the end of 2024, our total foreign trade volume reached 606 billion dollars, consisting of 262 billion dollars in exports and 344 billion dollars in imports."

Recalling that a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement exists between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, Baran noted that rapidly developing economic relations have created major opportunities for the business community. He underlined that healthcare represents a strategic area in bilateral trade cooperation and expressed confidence that strong synergies could be developed in areas such as healthcare investments, private hospitals, medical R&D, and digital health services.

"As ATO, we will continue to support our members in establishing sustainable partnerships in this market. Our aim is to transform this organization from merely a trade fair participation into a permanent international trade and cooperation platform. Each year, we seek to expand this platform with a stronger pavilion, more companies, and greater achievements. Today, thanks to your dynamism, courage, and productivity, we see once again that Türkiye is no longer just a regional healthcare player but a reliable global solution partner," Baran said.

"WE ARE A TRUSTED AND SOUGHT-AFTER PARTNER"

Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan stated that the Global Health Exhibition is more than just a fair; it is a multidimensional cooperation platform positioned at the intersection of complementary sectors such as healthcare, information technologies, logistics, and innovation. He explained that the contacts established at the event pave the way for lasting partnerships across a broad spectrum, from trade to technology and from knowledge to vision.

"As Türkiye, we take an active role on this international cooperation platform. With our strong organizational capacity, innovative entrepreneurs, and advanced service infrastructure, we are a trusted and sought-after partner in global exhibitions," Gürcan said.

He emphasized that, thanks to the Ministry's support mechanisms, Turkish companies are steadily increasing their visibility and competitiveness in international events. He also highlighted that companies operating particularly in healthcare and information technologies contribute significantly both to Türkiye's service exports and to the transformation of global trade by converting digitalization and technological innovation into production.

Gürcan further underlined that the strong participation of Turkish companies in this multi-sector event held in Saudi Arabia clearly demonstrates Türkiye's dynamism and production capacity in international markets, adding that he believes the event will further strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
